Everyone’s Best Friend

Last winter I was contacted by a woman who wanted to give her husband photos of her with their Italian Spinone puppy as a Christmas present. At that time I was barely 2+ years into dog ownership (first dog I’ve ever owned) myself and I already fully understood why she wanted to capture time with her very special new family member by way of photos. Gasworks Park turned out to be a really great place for our photoshoot. As I prepared a Christmas stocking for my dog Griffin today (that’s right, I have a Christmas stocking ready for my dog and I’m proud of it) I was reminded of last year’s session and in going over the photos I realized I am going to have to call up one of my talented photographer friends to capture me and my husband with our dog Griffin. Another reason for the inspiration is that last night a very dear friend gifted us a portrait of Griffin that she painted for us out of the kindness of her heart and her love for our buddy Griffin. I truly treasure the painting and am chomping at the bit to have it framed. So with that, congrats to everyone who has their own furry best friend in their lives. I hope you enjoy a fun holiday season together.
