A Professional Headshot Leaves A Professional Impression

Faithful Nataworry blog followers have seen my past blog posts addressing the importance of a good headshot. It’s a topic I like to bring up now and then because as a photographer I see so many portraits out there that could benefit from being retired. This time around I’m going to let the photos do most of the talking and ask you to perform a simple exercise. In comparing the two images I would hope that it’s obvious that one of the images was professionally taken (courtesy of Nataworry). What I’d like you to think about is the first ¬†impression you get from each of the images. I’m not a betting woman but I’m pretty confident that the professionally taken photo leaves a more positive impression on you. The point is that in this digital age even if it may be quick and easy to photograph yourself for purposes of online bios and such you might want to think twice about doing so. Resist the urge to put something out there quickly because you’re in a hurry and think “it’s good enough” for now. Remember what your first impressions were when you compared these two photos and think about how you want people to perceive you when it comes to presenting your best self and your business self to the general public. If you’re in need of a photo makeover you’re cordially invited and encouraged to contact yours truly at Nataworry to talk about how we can capture your best self for the world to see.
